MEDINA
Performance at your fingertip
MEDINA is the ideal CAE software for demanding simulation tasks in the transportation industry. As a powerful pre- and post-processor, MEDINA supports common CAD formats and FE calculation programs.
Features of MEDINA
Customizable Graphical User Interface
The software offers an intuitive, configurable user interface with full command line control. Functions such as CAD import, geometry preparation, meshing, and boundary condition definition are seamlessly integrated, enabling an efficient 2D and 3D workflow.
High-Performance Processing of Large Models
The CAE solution impresses with its high performance when processing complex CAD geometries, large FE models, and extensive result data. Full transparency and control enable quick access to all relevant information—for rapid analysis and targeted improvement of product quality.
Assembly Management and Structural Organization
The software supports a hierarchical part tree structure for efficient management of complex simulation models. This allows assemblies, modular solver inputs, and simulation variants to be quickly created, updated, and flexibly developed.
Static and Animated Result Visualization
Powerful post-processing functions enable efficient analysis of large result sets through visualization and integrated testing and validation tools. Automation, expandability, and session logging increase productivity and traceability while sustainably reducing development costs.

MEDINA application example - Doctoral thesis by R. Noé Fararoni Platas
The study investigates a scaled timber–composite column-to-slab connection made of spruce CLT and beech LVL inserts. Experiments and FE simulations show that the scaled model accurately reproduces the failure behavior of the full-scale connection, enabling the use of dimensional analysis to project load capacity from model to prototype. For the numerical work, preprocessing was carried out with Medina, chosen for its speed and the simplicity with which it can generate hexahedral meshes,
